Hurricane Sandy

Valued Customer,

As I am writing this e-mail I am listening to the weather forecast for Monday, and they are talking about the possibility of a very powerful confluence of weather developing in the region.

Most leaks reported when we get heavy volumes of rain are caused by clogged roof drainage systems. Obviously we cannot possibly get out to check everyone’s roof drainage systems between now and Sunday, however, if anyone would like us to try to schedule a visit, we will make every effort to get to them. We can work tomorrow up until 3:30 pm at our regular rates, after 3:30 and over the weekend at our overtime or weekend rates.

If you have your own personnel available, who are qualified to safely go up on your roof, they should check your roof drains, scuppers, gutters, and or downspouts. If they are clogged with debris, they should clear them as best they can. While they are on the roof, you may also want to have them remove anything that might blow off the roof and hurt someone or damage your property or someone else’s property. Make sure they close the roof hatch tightly, when they are done!

As always, Cole Roofing will make every effort to help you in an emergency situation, should you have a critical failure of your roof system. Please keep in mind that typically it is too dangerous to come out at the height of the storm, but we can try to get out to you as the storm moves out of the area. Also, keep in mind that if you need us to respond to a leak call after hours or on weekends, any work done will be charged at emergency rates.

If you experience a leak after hours or over a weekend, you can save money if you can wait until the beginning of the next business day to actually receive service. Feel free to e-mail me at mike@coleroofing.com, to let us know that you have a leak, and whether you need us out for an emergency visit, or if it can wait until normal business hours.

If you have any questions feel free to call us at 410-242-0600.

We will hope that the storms track in such a way that they do not cause any of us too much trouble.

Sincerely, Mike M
